Ontario Public Library Week 2021

This year Ontario Public Library Week will take place from October 17 to 23 with the theme "One Card, One Million Possibilities."

We have lots of great events and activities available to help celebrate!

Author Event: A Discussion with Janie Chang

Janie Chang, bestselling author of Dragon Springs Road, discusses her 2021 Evergreen Forest of Reading nominated title, The Library of Legends, and how she brought the history of wartime China to life.

Trivia Night: Books-to-Movies

Love books? Love movies? We do too! Grab some popcorn and test your knowledge of popular book-to-screen adaptations at our virtual trivia night in celebration of Ontario Public Library Week.

Take-Home Activity

Take & Make Light-Up Wand Kits

These craft kits will be available starting Sunday October 17 until Saturday October 23 and can be picked up at the Main Library and the John M. Harper Branch (please note that our McCormick Branch is closed for renovations until October 27). This activity is great for children aged 5+, although adult assistance and supervision will be needed. One kit per family, while supplies last.

These kits are coin battery operated and must not be ingested and kept away from children under 5 years old.
