Book It! Around the World
July 7 to August 23
The WPL Summer Reading Club (in partnership with TD) invites kids to embark on a global adventure through the joy of reading. Discovering stories their way is the perfect passport to building a lifelong love of books. This inclusive program welcomes kids of all interests and abilities, and this year’s theme, BOOK IT! AROUND THE WORLD, will take young explorers on a journey across continents, cultures, and beyond.
Stop by one of our Summer Reading Club Check-In Desks at any WPL location, where our Summer Reading Club staff will help you check in, earn biweekly prizes, and collect ballots that can jet-set you to the ultimate End of Summer Party – where the world’s wonders come together! You can also take a weekly excursion into pop-up activities at each library location to experience crafts and activities.

Registering for the Summer Reading Club
Pre-Register Online
Pre-registration online will be available starting on June 2.
Registering In Person
Kids ages 4 to 12 years can visit one of our Summer Reading Club Check-In Desks at any WPL location between Monday, July 7 and Thursday, August 14 to sign-up and start earning their passport stamps (please see desk hours below).
How It Works
Visit our Check-In Desks 4 times throughout the summer (Monday, July 7 to Thursday, August 14) to earn a grand prize ballot (1 ballot per person) and an invite to the End of Summer Party taking place at your home library.
Bring your Boarding Pass to one of our Summer Reading Club Check-In Desks each week. If you’ve read for 15 minutes a day and checked off 4 out of 7 spots, you’ll earn a ballot for our Biweekly Prize Draw!
Plus, at each library location, you get to spin the Adventure Wheel – you might win an extra ballot, answer a fun question, or try a silly challenge!

Our Check-In Desks will be open during these hours. The desk times below apply for all WPL locations.

Boarding Passes
Each week you will receive a new Boarding Pass to help you track your reading. Bring your Boarding Pass to one of our Summer Reading Club Check-In Desks each week. If you’ve read for 15 minutes a day and checked off 4 out of 7 spots, you’ll earn a ballot for our Biweekly Prize Draw!

End of Summer Parties
After 4 visits to our Check-In Desks, you will be invited to join us at your home library location for one of our End of Summer Parties taking place on Saturday, August 16 or Saturday, August 23.
Registration for this event will begin on Saturday, August 9 and Saturday, August 16 respectively at 9:30am. More information will be provided after your 4th visit.

Prizes
Track your reading on your Boarding Pass to get ballots for our biweekly prizes. Plus, once you reach 4 visits at our Check-In Desks you will receive a ballot for our grand prize draw.

Weekly Surprises
Let’s celebrate all things reading! Stop by the Summer Reading Club Check-In Desk once per week after registering to receive a special surprise treat. It’s our way of saying, “keep up the great work!”
