Our Teen Events Team Wayside Centre Hygiene Drive Runs December 2, 2024 to January 4, 2025
About Waterloo Wayside Centre
The Waterloo Wayside Centre is a dedicated, community organization hosted at Emmanuel United Church in the heart of Uptown Waterloo. With a strong desire to support and uplift one another, Wayside serves youth, seniors, and marginalized individuals across the Kitchener-Waterloo area. Each week, the Centre welcomes around 100 people to its Thursday cafe program, where guests enjoy a warm lunch and sense of community. Additionally, around 150 people come each week to access the Food Bag program, which provides essential groceries for those in need, thanks to a partnership with the local food bank. Through these and other programs, Wayside continues to nurture the bodies, hearts, and minds of those who need it most in our community.
The Impact of the Hygiene Drive
Any donation, no matter the size, helps grow a positive impact. It allows Wayside Centre to continue fostering and creating a community environment through providing free programs for various communities in Kitchener-Waterloo. Last year, the donations from our hygiene drive provided 6 months worth of products for community members!
