About the Event
Join researcher and Black history writer Peggy Plet as she presents 'Discovering Waterloo Region’s Untold Stories: Celebrating Black History.' Recognizing the presence and contributions of Black residents in our community's history is crucial for historical accuracy and fostering a sense of belonging and pride among current Black residents.
Learn to Crochet
About the Program
Learn the basic stitches of crochet and make a small project in an interactive group setting. Each week will build on what was learned in the week before. This program will be running every other Saturday, which will give registrants plenty of time to practice stitches between lessons.

In this panel in recognition of Freedom to Read Week, members of Waterloo Public Library, University of Waterloo Library, and Wilfred Laurier University Library will discuss the role that libraries play in fostering community wellbeing, and as safeguards of democracy through upholding a right to access information. How can libraries continue to cultivate this and other civic literacies? Join us to find out more, and ask our panelists questions of your own.

Living with Loss Peer Support Group
About the Program
Living With Loss is a peer grief support group for adults 18+ which provides a space to connect with others who are grieving a death. You do not have to attend every group session, but can select the sessions that suit your specific needs. You are welcome to join at any phase of your grief and attend for as long as you need the support.
