All materials are provided, and you get to take your creations home with you.

Friendly Robot Club
About the Program
Read, move, and build like a robot in this playful, hands-on program. We’ll share robot stories, try “unplugged” coding activities by pretending we’re robots, and use art and building supplies to create our own pretend robots. Expect lots of imagination, movement, and creative building along the way.
Irish Céilí Dance
About the Program
Join us for a delightful journey into Irish farm life with Brendan Tonra's charming tale, Three Ducks and a Goose. This interactive program invites children and families to listen, dance, sing, and move along with the story, and definitely some céilí (group) dancing to boot!
Reading Buddies
About the Program
Encourage a love of reading with this fun, interactive literacy program. Participants will pair up with a volunteer literacy tutor for guided reading sessions followed by language games and activities with the group.
Geodesic Dome and Fort Building Bonanza
About the Program
Turn the library into a space for imagination, building, and big ideas! Participants will work together to design and build geodesic domes using newspaper and tape, then use other fort-building materials to create all kinds of creative structures. Everyone will also get to make a mini light-up “fort” to take home and keep the building going.
Number Ninjas

Have fun with math in this interactive educational program. Friendly volunteer tutors will work with children to explore mathematical concepts with fun activities and challenges.
Tech Tinker Lab
About the Program
Curious about how everyday technology works? In this hands‑on program, tweens will take apart common household items to explore what’s inside and how the pieces fit together. Participants will safely dismantle objects like kettles, remote controls, VCRs, and other devices, learning about their inner workings and imagining creative new uses for the parts. Perfect for kids who love to tinker, build, and ask “how does that work?”
AI Literacy Day: Try AI Drop-In
About the Program
Celebrate AI Literacy Day with a family‑friendly drop‑in where you can explore different types of Artificial Intelligence in a fun, approachable way. All knowledge levels are welcome—no experience needed. Try out a variety of AI tools, experiment with simple activities (like typing in short instructions to see what an AI creates), and learn how different platforms work. Staff will also share helpful resources to support safe, informed, and thoughtful AI use at home.

About the Program
Calling all Graphic Novel fans: we’re making an after-school reading space just for you! This fun program for tweens will help build literacy skills and give participants an opportunity to share in a structured environment to focus on reading. Optional prompts will be provided to encourage reading comprehension that builds upon the hour spent reading among peers. Participants will be able to discuss books amongst themselves, though there is no obligation to do so. Register to join your new favourite monthly reading hangout because, as we all know, How Many Nights A Week Should You Be Reading? 6-7!

Polymer Clay Critters
About the Program
Sculpt your very own clay critter using colourful polymer clay! Create anything you can imagine, from cute creatures to tiny monsters or magical animals. We’ll bake your creations on-site so they’re ready to take home the same day. While your critter is in the oven, get creative designing and building a cozy home for it to live in. All materials will be provided—just bring your imagination!
