Drawing Workshop with Werner Zimmermann
About the Program
Join Guelph artist and illustrator Werner Zimmermann for an engaging, hands-on drawing workshop. Participants will learn how to draw subjects such as dragons, horses, and other basic forms, progressing from simple shapes to more complex drawings. Werner will tailor the session to the interests of the group, encouraging audience participation and creative exploration. The focus will be on creating drawings that look realistic and three-dimensional rather than flat. Participants will also be encouraged to continue developing their skills through observation and research, using books and other reference materials as inspiration for their artwork.
Fiction & Folktales: Black Writers & Stories in Conversation
About the Event
The story, even a fictionalised one, is a historical record of identity and presence. From Anansi stories, to the writings of pioneering Black writers such as Louise Bennett, Octavia Butler and Nalo Hopkinson, Black storytellers preserve memory and ritual alongside writing and protecting Black futures.
20s & 30s Social Club

Meeting new people as an adult isn’t always easy—but it can be fun! Join us for a relaxed, welcoming social night designed for those in their 20s and 30s.
