We are excited to share our 2023 Community Report!

Our Community Report highlights the library's accomplishments, initiatives, and impact throughout 2023, providing valuable insights into the range of programs, services, and resources that have fostered learning, literacy, and engagement in our community. From events that helped to build stronger ties in our diverse community to expanding our Cool Things to Borrow collections, the report showcases how WPL continues to strive to meet the diverse needs and interests of our customers.

Through the dedication of our staff, the support of the Library Board, and the enthusiastic involvement of the community, we look forward to continuing to serve our community.

Some of the highlights from 2023 included:

• Over three (3) items were borrowed from the library EVERY MINUTE.
• 12,379 NEW customers got a library card.
• Over 1400 kids joined our popular Summer Reading Club.
• The McCormick Branch celebrated its 50th birthday!
• We expanded our skate collection to the McCormick Branch and added radon monitors, in-library board games and puzzles, and decodable books to the items that can be borrowed from the library.
