Lunar New Year Celebrations

We are excited to be partnering with the Waterloo Region Chinese Canadian Association to offer two fun-filled Lunar New Year celebrations.

Everyone welcome

Celebrate Lunar New Year virtually with Waterloo Public Library and the Waterloo Region Chinese Canadian Association with stories, music, calligraphy and traditional arts demonstrations, and a make along craft.

From January 22 to 29 your local libraries and family serving community organizations are hosting a week of special events to highlight and celebrate family literacy. Join the fun and discover all the things you can do together to build a home full of readers.

It's a snow day! Looking for fun things to do while stuck inside? The library has you covered with fun activities that can all be done from the comfort of your home.

PLEASE NOTE: The library is also closed today (Jan 17) due to the poor weather conditions so unfortunately coming to visit us is NOT one of the fun activities on the list. Don't worry though - we have lots of other fun things you can do from home!
